Your stress and frustration are understandable, especially when dealing with wet carpets. That frustration doubles when a flood is the culprit. Not only does it get wet, but it also soaks up plenty of other contaminants.
So here at Water Damage & Restoration Service, we came up with a solution to address all those. We offer a comprehensive three-step process to get your carpet right back to its former beauty. We’ll ensure your carpets are thoroughly dried and restored to their original condition.
Step 1: Wet Carpet Drying
Our first step involves the crucial process of wet carpet drying. Our team will use state-of-the-art water-extracting machines for this stage. This is to remove any excess water from your carpet. We then use specialised drying techniques to remove as much moisture as possible. We’ll make sure that mould doesn’t have a chance to grow and cause further damage to your carpet and flooring.
Step 2: Carpet Cleaning and Debrowning
After the wet carpet drying process, the next stage is to clean and debrown the carpet.
In the cleaning stage, we’ll deal with any stains or discolouration caused by water damage. Specialised equipment and solutions will be used for deeper cleaning. These will ensure to penetrate every fabric of your carpet and drive off the dirt. Oils and other contaminants get removed as well to improve the appearance and lifespan of your carpets.
For the debrowning process, the same set of equipment and solutions are used. This time, the focus is to restore the colour of the carpet. Any damage and discolouration caused by water damage will be taken care of here. But it’s not limited to damage caused by floods, the debrowning process can also fix stains from sewage backup or even pet urine.
Step 3: Setting up of Dehumidifiers and Air Movers
Finally, we set up dehumidifiers and air movers to ensure your carpets are completely dry.
We measure the affected area first to assess how many dehumidifiers are needed. Once that’s done, we’ll place the dehumidifiers in the affected area. This is to ensure they have enough clearance around them for airflow. And then we connect them to power sources and turn them on.
Air movers are also placed along with dehumidifiers. Both of these are placed strategically to direct airflow towards wet or damp areas. The speed is then adjusted as needed if the carpet needs it. Monitoring the dehumidifiers and emptying the collected water is next. The air movers are checked to ensure it’s doing its job. Everything’s left running until the air humidity is back to normal and the affected areas are completely dry.
